Milal Missionary Choir reached many children in Indonesia
The 130 members of the Milal Missionary Choir from 8 different countries met in Jakarta last month to reach needy children in orphanages, schools, and churches. Mr. Jeong-Jin Lee, the Promise Church choir conductor and founder of the Milal Choir, said that their annual outreach program selected the million needy children of Indonesia to encourage their own "can do" concept in Christ to reach other parts of the world. Pastor Eun Moo Lee accompanied the group to guide them to Bandung, Jakarta and Timor with the help of local ministers to visit orphanages, homes for the elderly, prisons, schools and churches. These professional choir members touched the hearts of thousands of children with their musical message of hope.

Case Study – Expressing Creation with Origami
The Amazon region in Brazil has tropical climates, which brings about the interesting fact that boats are more practical than cars because of the dense forests and network of rivers.
We serve four tribes of Indios who live on river banks. Their lifestyle includes simple farming, hunting, and fishing. Children in this region get married when they reach the age of 12 to 15, bypassing adolescence. They become mothers and fathers without a chance to think or grow into their own self-being.
No one pays attention to these children. I realized I wanted to tell them how precious they are as human beings. Therefore, I have been recreating the story of Creation using origami for the last two years and have finished mapping out a plan for the first to sixth day of Creation.
Throughout each origami retelling of the Creation story, God's providence continues to shine through, and I often find myself praying for all Brazilian children. At first, my mind was focused solely on Indio children, but my spirit has begun praying for all children of Brazil. I was surprised by this and struggled because of the immense reality of the huge tasks and responsibilities that lay before me. But one day, I received an invitation from the president of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Brazil. His proposal was to teach "The Creation Origami" to children's ministries.
There is a saying that, "Seeds in an apple can be counted, but apples in a seed cannot be counted." Likewise, a child's potential is unimaginably bigger than ours. Although, it's not easy to see the fruits of children's ministry in the short term, it's important to recognize that a spiritual seed planted in a child's soul will grow to establish God's faithful worker. We have a dream that one day a child who was transformed by Arriba Niños! will rise up as an evangelist like Billy Graham, a missionary like Hudson Taylor, a doctor like Schweizer. But more than anything else, we expect that these children will become the Lord's disciples deeply rooted in the Word of God. Jesus embraced children and told us not to prohibit them from coming to him. We press toward what is ahead as we hold the Word, "The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly." (Isaiah 60:22)
I was nervous as it was the first curriculum of its kind. As my first seminar concluded gracefully, participants asked for a written manual. When the first version of the manual was published by Child Evangelism Fellowship and distributed throughout Brazil, I realized that God was and is working through this manual and children's ministries to reach out to Brazilian children. As the second and third versions of the manual were printed, some university professors started to demonstrate against it. But God uses even these demonstrations to complete His works.
I now lead seminars regularly at Child Evangelism Fellowship and lead other seminars every other year for South American children's ministry workers. Today, "The Creation Origami" manuals are distributed all over South America.
I co-authored a new book called Origami Bible World, which is soon to be published. It is in Korean and partially in English. This book was published with the condition that the next book will be in Chinese, Arab, and Spanish.
My story started with a piece of paper, a humble beginning, and a desire to touch a child's heart. Now, it is my desire to embrace all children from every corner of the world. It all starts with a piece of paper.
